JBWS Receives $10,000 from Liberty Torchbearers

JBWS received $10,000 from Liberty Mutual Insurance, through their Liberty Torchbearers program. This gift was made in celebration of Liberty Mutual’s 110th anniversary, where they are awarding $10,000 to 110 non-profits across the country to mark this milestone anniversary.

“It was a wonderful surprise to receive such a generous gift,” says Diane Williams, President and CEO of JBWS. “The funds will ensure that we continually provide the best possible services to those impacted by domestic violence.”

Comprised of three divisions, Give with Liberty, Volunteer with Liberty, and Serve with Liberty, the Liberty Torchbearers program is dedicated to bettering the community. Employees are encouraged to learn about the missions of local non-profits and contribute in ways that are most needed including: donating, volunteering, and spreading awareness.

Liberty Mutual’s efforts to improve their community will greatly benefit JBWS clients. From emergency safe house shelter, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing to legal services, counseling, and support, JBWS is a resource for anyone impacted by domestic violence. However, JBWS would not be able to offer such robust services without the continual support of our community members.
