Grants Support Critical Needs

Without the support of our community, both local and nationwide, JBWS would not be able to provide necessary, life changing support to survivors of domestic violence! Our organization recently received a $162,319 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development administered by Morris County Continuum of CARE program. This grant will provide permanent housing placement and care management for some of our clients leaving JBWS’ safe house as well as rental assistance, support services, and connections to needed community services.

We also received an $84,000 grant from the State of New Jersey, Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Shelter Support Grant Program. This funding will allow JBWS to replace 10 HVAC units in our Carol G. Simon Transitional Living facility. The current system is over 20 years old and in need of replacement.
