Program Support Specialist, Safe House (Monday-Friday, with 1-2 evenings a week as needed)

JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITON OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic, organized and detail-oriented Program Support Specialist with experience providing a high level of professional support and a proven ability to engage clients. This position assists with administrative needs of services provided within our Safe House to staff and clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION includes but not limited to:
- Administrative tasks include retrieval, opening, and distribution of mail for agency and clients.
- Posting financial receipts daily.
- Assist clients with in-house needs, including welcome procedures, room readiness, food needs.
- Answer agency phone calls including helpline and respond to prospective clients.
- Support Director, manager and advocates with clerical and housing tasks as needed.
- Identify, address and/or report facilities-related needs.
- Interact with current and potential clients to provide support and resources as assigned.
- Participate in and contribute to a healthy working environment and positive agency morale.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree and/or related education/experience.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking, a plus.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with close attention to detail, required.
- Ability to effectively and independently make decisions based on sound judgment.
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s license.
- Candidates with 40-hour domestic violence training certification preferred or required completion of 40-hours of domestic violence training upon hire.
SCHEDULE
Full time 35 per week, two evenings as needed.

COMPENSATION
Full-time exempt position, salary range between $45K and $48K based on experience.
