JBWS is a private, confidential service welcoming ALL survivors of dating, domestic, or partner abuse (and their family members) regardless of severity of the abuse, marital status, income, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnicity.

Our Jersey Center for Non-Violence counseling services help people examine their use of control, force and/or abuse within intimate relationships and learn alternatives.

Meeting the Moment
For nearly 45 years, safety has been at the heart of JBWS’ mission. In all that time, we never predicted the added danger we would face in 2020. Thanks to YOU, our generous donors, along with additional emergency government funding, JBWS was able to sustain our operations, keep our doors open and “like a lotus flower, …bloom out of the darkness and radiate into the world.” Read all about our 2020 accomplishments and the lives impacted by our services.

Volunteers provide valuable services toward accomplishing the mission of JBWS. Each year, more than 200 JBWS volunteers contribute over 15,000 hours of services to our Morris County-based service.
