FT Bilingual Counselor
Seeking a passionate, dynamic, and skilled bi-lingual counselor LSW/LCSW or LAC/LPC to join an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals in the domestic violence field. This dedicated, organized, reliable, and flexible individual will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling and ongoing support to victims of domestic violence. Verbal and written fluency in Spanish.
Candidate is required to complete 40 hours of domestic violence training mandated by the State of NJ upon hire. Schedule includes 2 evenings per week.
Program Assistant in the safe house. Monday-Friday business hours. Duties include answering telephones, maintaining office supplies, agency mail, clerical tasks and administrative projects, answering the domestic violence helpline. Associates degree or related education/experience. Candidate must have good interpersonal, time management and organizational skills. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Student Internship Opportunities
JBWS utilizes between five and eight interns in several JBWS programs during the school year. In general, JBWS interns are first or second year master's level students in Social Work or Counseling. Most of the internships are for clinical positions and we sometimes have a need for administrative interns. All interns must complete a 40+ hours training program provided by JBWS. Prospective interns should work through their school internships programs.
