FT Bilingual Case Manager
Seeking a passionate, strengths-based, and engaging part time or full time Bilingual Case Manager to join an interdisciplinary team of committed professionals in the domestic violence field. This individual is knowledgeable about community resources and works with clients to increase self-sufficiency using a collaborative and empowerment approach. Possessing strong interpersonal skills, this case manager will provide career/educational counseling and housing advocacy, research job and scholarship opportunities for clients, and effectively coordinate client services with program staff in order to assist clients in reaching their goals.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject matter, such as social work, and experience in housing, vocational, and/or social services case management. Candidate must complete 40 hours of domestic violence training upon hire. Schedule includes a minimum of 2 evenings per week. Verbal and written fluency in Spanish.
FT Bilingual Counselor
Seeking a passionate, dynamic, and skilled bi-lingual counselor LSW/LCSW or LAC/LPC to join an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals in the domestic violence field. This dedicated, organized, reliable, and flexible individual will be responsible for providing individual and group counseling and ongoing support to victims of domestic violence. Verbal and written fluency in Spanish.
Candidate is required to complete 40 hours of domestic violence training mandated by the State of NJ upon hire. Schedule includes 2 evenings per week.
Per diem Overnight Advocate (awake position) to work weekends. BSW or related degree is required. Responsibilities include answering 24-hour helpline, crisis intervention, assessment, intakes, and monitoring security cameras. Student Internship Opportunities
JBWS utilizes between five and eight interns in several JBWS programs during the school year. In general, JBWS interns are first or second year master's level students in Social Work or Counseling. Most of the internships are for clinical positions and we sometimes have a need for administrative interns. All interns must complete a 40+ hours training program provided by JBWS. Prospective interns should work through their school internships programs.
