FT CASE MANAGER JBWS seeks a passionate and engaging full-time Case Manager to join an interdisciplinary team working in the Transitional Living Program and Morris Family Justice Center. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about community resources and works with clients to increase self-sufficiency and safety using a collaborative, strengths-based and empowerment approach. Possessing strong interpersonal skills and flexibility, this case manager will provide housing advocacy, safety planning, linkage to resources, and coordinate client services.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field; Experience in housing, vocational, and/or social services case management, preferred; Experience utilizing crisis intervention skills, conducting needs assessments, and assisting in safety planning; Must complete 40 hours of domestic violence training upon hire; Schedule includes 2 evenings per week; Bilingual Spanish-speaking preferred.


JBWS seeks a dynamic, committed manager for the Transitional Living Program.   Our ideal candidate has a proven ability to work effectively with women around women’s issues, including domestic violence; is trauma-informed; able to effectively oversee multiple functions; provides leadership to staff and strengths-based, non-judgmental services to clients. The position requires active supervision of staff, day-to-day oversight of the facility, serving as a liaison to other JBWS programs as well as community programs.  The position requires flexibility and one evening per week of coverage.

A well-qualified candidate will possess an MSW or related degree; a minimum of two years relevant domestic violence service experience; demonstrated program planning capabilities; and strong analytical and communication skills.  License preferred.   Submit cover letter and resume to info@jbws.org    EOE



JBWS seeks to fill a residential advocate to work Thursdays 2-11pm, Fridays 3-11:30pm and Sundays 3-11:30pm. This part-time salaried position includes benefits. Job responsibilities include providing direct service to families in the shelter including but not limited to, crisis intervention, providing support to callers on the helpline, conducting assessments for prospective clients, completing intakes with new residents, providing support and advocacy and monitoring security cameras. BSW or related degree required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Candidates must have or complete 40 hours of domestic violence training upon hire. EOE


JBWS seeks hourly counselors to join a team of dedicated professionals to work with men in an abuse intervention program. These reliable and flexible individuals will be responsible for providing group counseling, intake sessions and ongoing support to perpetrators of domestic abuse. Licensed (LSW/LCSW or LAC/LPC)  or license eligible preferred.  Bilingual in Spanish highly desired. May include weekday evenings and/or Saturday mornings. Per diem positions in Safe House

including day, evening and overnight (awake position). Seeking per diem advocate to provide support and advocacy for residential clients. Student Internship Opportunities

JBWS utilizes between five and eight interns in several JBWS programs during the school year. In general, JBWS interns are first or second year master's level students in Social Work or Counseling. Most of the internships are for clinical positions and we sometimes have a need for administrative interns. All interns must complete a 40+ hours training program provided by JBWS. Prospective interns should work through their school internships programs.
